September 2016 – The wonderful staff at Sainsbury’s Local, Derby Road, Stapleford put on the first fundraising event for Broxtowe Youth Homelessness as their charity of the year.
Staff across the East Midlands took part in a cycle visiting all of the store in the area, reaching Stapleford not long after midday. The staff at the Stapleford joined in on their static bike and also got customers involved with a tombola, hook-a-duck, nail painting, biscuit decorating and a very popular challenge of balancing 20p on a lemon floating in water (give it a go, it’s much harder than it sounds).
