Broxtowe Youth Homelessness are excited to announce that we have been chosen as the Mayor of Broxtowe’s Charity.
Councillor Richard MacRae was installed as the 45th Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe at the annual meeting of Broxtowe Borough Council held in May 2021.
Richard is an active member of the local community, setting up Stapleford Community Group in 2011, whose activities include organising bus trips, job fairs, supporting local foodbanks and collecting and distributing surplus food on a daily basis. Richard has always supported Broxtowe Youth Homelessness and recognises the work we do to support young people experiencing housing crisis.
We are excited to continue to work with Richard and will be working together to plan some fun events over the next few months.
‘I have supported Broxtowe Youth Homelessness for many years now. The excellent work they do and the amount of people they help in such an amazing way is nothing but inspiring. I have seen the positive influence and transformation of many young people they have helped over the years. So upon becoming the Mayor or Broxtowe it is my great pleasure to have chosen BYH as my chosen charity for my term of office and I look forward to the continuous work to raise much needed funds.’
