Broxtowe Youth Homelessness held a thank you coffee and cake morning for the people who have supported us throughout 2018.
We had a great turn out during the morning, lots of people stopping for a chat some came to drop in cards and chocolates. It was great to see so many friendly faces.
The Research and Innovation Team from the University of Nottingham joined us a 10am with a boot full of goodies!!! They had been collecting for us over the last month, food and toiletry items that we were running short of but also lovely gifts for the young people we work with and support. The food and toiletries will be distributed in our emergency parcels to young people who are facing some kind of housing crisis, which could be sofa surfing, moving into their own accommodation for the first time or even street homeless. The gifts will be given out at our Christmas meal to people who have engaged with Broxtowe Youth Homelessness over the last year. For some this may be their only celebration and only gift.
We are really grateful to everyone who has worked with us over the last year and a big thank you to the Research and Innovation Team from the University of Nottingham who have made our Christmas extra special.
