On Friday 5th May, Students and teachers from George Spencer Academy took part in a sponsored ‘Sleep Out’ to raise funds for Broxtowe Youth Homelessness.
A total of 31 girls, and 3 boys from Yr. 11, along with 4 teachers bedded down from 8pm to 8am.
Jane and Becky attended to watch the students preparing for the night ahead and were really impressed by the resources the students used to keep themselves warm and dry.
Some of the students also arrived with cards and board games to keep themselves entertained.
The event raised a whopping £1,100.63 for Broxtowe Youth Homelessness, which is the equivalent to nearly 51 food parcels, or 10 home starter kits!
