Broxtowe Labour

August 2018

Broxtowe Youth Homelessness were invited to the Broxtowe Labour event held at Middle Street Resource Centre on Wednesday 15th August. We were greeted by one of the Stapleford candidates, Susan Paterson, and shown to our area that was already over flowing with generous donations of Teabags and UHT milk. Once we had set up Greg Marshall came over to greet us and also to explain that he would be bringing Jeremy Corbyn to meet us shortly.

Greg kindly introduced us to Jeremy Corbyn and we had the opportunity to tell him about the work we do and Laura and Euan were able to share with him what their roles are at Broxtowe Youth Homelessness. He carefully listened and also took on board some of the concerns we have about the future of youth homelessness.

In Jeremy’s closing speech he mentioned the work we do and the need for more affordable housing, touching on topic we had discussed with him earlier.

It was a great experience for Broxtowe Youth Homelessness.
