June 2017
Broxtowe Youth Homelessness attended The Hemlock Happening on Saturday 10th June to raise awareness of homelessness. On our stall children had the opportunity to make their own cardboard houses, which gave us the opportunity to discuss with them and their parents the work we do. Many people showed a real interest and were surprised to hear some of the statistics and struggles young people face. Many wanted to find out how they could support the project and were touched by how hard our volunteers work to educate other young people about homelessness.
It was a great day and by the end we managed to create our own cardboard BYH street.
