What is Peer Impact?

Peer Impact is a course run by Broxtowe Youth Homelessness.
BYH have been working in secondary schools in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire for many years. We raise awareness about homelessness, talk about what help is available and aim to prevent future homelessness.
We believe that the best people to talk to young people about the reality of homelessness and hostel-life are those who have been through it themselves.
We train young people to share their experience of homelessness with other young people in a classroom environment. Our peer educators are amazing – teachers and students describe them as inspirational, informative and vital to preventing future homelessness.
